Next week I'll be doing some biz-travel in Colorado. I'll be staying two nights down near Pueblo and Colorado Springs and one night in the Denver area. Anybody want to meet up and talk Lotus over a pint or three?

Key information for anyone considering a pint in Colorado:

My Son has just come back from Huntington Beach, and points the above information out to me on a regular basis.

I had a great visit with Ross and Ann Robbins in Colorado Springs! One highlight was when Ross and I went for some drives in his Elan and Plus 2. I did about ten miles behind the wheel of the Plus 2, which is about 80 times farther than I've driven my own and it was a really fun drive, and makes me want even more to get my car on the road! I declined a turn behind the wheel in the Elan, as my big chunky shoes would not allow safe operation of the pedals when I tried the fit of the driver seat. But the experience from the other seat was fabulous, as I'd never before ridden in an Elan. Great time, thanks Ross and Ann, and let me know if you happen to travel to my neck of the woods anytime.

So cool!

Gotta hear impressions of the Zetec. Looked like a marvellous car when I saw it. So unusual/rare in NA, and I thought Ross? example so well executed.

I don't think I would have my Plus2 any other way. It is a fantastic conversion, and if you retain the 4-speed, much cheaper than getting the same performance from a TC. The added displacement is the key.

I can't really compare, as my only experience driving a Twink was a mere eighth of a mile and it ran crappy. But I enjoyed the Zetec very much- and if I didn't know anything about what was under the bonnet I would not have guessed a modern engine. It seemed well-mannered, sounded good, and gave some go when I put the Wellie to it.
