Hi folks,
About to renew my car insurance, currently with Footman James. In broad terms the policy is for three Lotus cars with agreed values and low mileage.Comparing like for like the Peter Best quote is remarkably low (?400 against ?1200 from FJ). There are a few differences - PB quote is for UK only, FJ covers Europe. However I only use the cars sparingly on hot sunny days(remember them?) so no problems there.
Not asking for recommends but interested to see how many others use Peter Best?
Cheers,
Martin B

If you've only got yourself as driver you can only drive one at a time so you'd expect a decent discount for all three together.
It the underwriters you need to compare rather than the brokers.
If you don't drive abroad you don't need the cover.
?400 is a keen price but ?1200 is a bit much.

Sorry no experience of Peter Best but ?1200 seems high i have to say of personal experience i have never found FJ competitive even though they were the club recommended insurer. I think the best course of action would be to get a couple more quotes and compare i have a multi car policy with Classicline at Hinckley.

I's suggest getting a quote from RoutenChaplin(.co.uk) before deciding. They know Elans and have been very easy (and human!) to deal with.
