I have just discovered SIX :o +2's for sale on Kelkoo

http://shopping.kelkoo.co.uk/ctl/do/sea ... m=true&y=8

I have used this site for buying household goods but did not know they advertised cars

The prices are a bit high but a nice selection. There is a nice looking JPS model. They do look very nice with a bit of sunshine on them :D

Have a look if you need a +2 and have big money to spend :)

Nice to see prices a bit nearer what they should be for such a great classic!

It looks like all these cars are for sale from a company called UK Sports Cars in Kent. Has anyone dealt with them?

Hi everyone and yep, they certainly look like UKS prices.

The ads have been entered by Classic & Sportscar Magazine and that's the number which accompanies them.

I haven't seen these vehicles on the current UKS website yet but some of the backgrounds look familiar.

It's just kelkoo doing a web search, Classic and sportscar haven't updated their sales pages for ages and these ads are quite old now, and yes, they are UKS

Today the ads are opening with the UKS name and number all over them whereas yesterday there was nothing.

Does anyone have something good to say about UKS?

I don't think I will be buying anything from them anytime soon :(

It just goes to show it is worth doing a google search on dealers if you are looking to spend several thousands of pounds on a car and reputation is everything :)

...but don't forget, any lousy dealer can have (occasionally) a nice car and chances are they won't even know it. Be a smart shopper, if you find a proper car reasonably priced, buy it. Use a knowledgeable friend and info from Elan.net archives to help define the scam artists if you're not mechanically inclined...

That's true. The last +2S produced, a white one, was also on one of these ads, and that's a lovely car, I nearly bought it from the PO in Belgium last summer for about ?6200. it's now for sale at ?9995.......... Quite a good mark-up as they probably haven't touched it. (which would be a good thing in this case.....:-)

This car, the last one produced was advertised on these boards a while ago. Can't find it now (the search function has been changed - it's now less specific, giving loads of results to trawl through :( )

UKS sent me some pics of it, if anyone would like to see them

It was a bit of a strange scenario, as it was advertised at UKS, but also advertised at the same time in Club Lotus mag by the owner in Belgium. I assume it was UKS acting as a intemediary.

It went to show how little UKS new about the car as they advertised it as a 4 speed when, in fact, it is a 130/5. (It just has a 4 speed gaitor).

It looked very nice but I was worried about the fact that it didn't have the fog light pods, which made me wonder if it had had a front end replacement with an earlier, non S/130, moulding. Some interior bits were missing too, although nothing major.

It was advertised a lot for a long time, so the owner must have had trouble selling it, hence it may be still up for grabs. Have a go at searching here (make a coffee - it may take a while!)
