First time @ Donnington - What should I be buying?

All,

This is my first time at Donnington (only had the car since October). Is there anything I should be looking out for to buy there. Currently on my list are:

Fire Extinguisher !!!
New Steering Wheel (Moto-lita)

I know these type of events are generally a good source of all kit, but what should I look for.

Thanks

Richard

The Lotus Parts Fair in the autumn is generally better for bits. However I know Paul Matty will be there so if you want anything big or heavy give them a call and get them to put it on the truck, save on the postage.

If you have only just got the car the first thing you are going to need is a good tool box if you are going to do some of the work yourself.

Come along to the Lotus Elan dot Net meeting point and interactive chat 8) See you Sat a.m.

What bits of your car are you not satisfied with, which bits look tatty, what doesn't work the way you would like it to?
Those are the bits I look for.
Buy two fire extinguishers maybe!

Fire extinguishers from conger73 on e-bay are a third of the price of Demon Tweeks etc.

First thing you you should be looking for is the Lotus car park so you can talk to fellow owners and compare cars.
If your car is running OK I would suggest trying not to get carried away buying lots of new shiny bits until you have lived with the car for a while and talked to a few Elan.net members, then come up with an idea of what you want to do and how much money to spend.

There are a few items you should always fit such as braided fuel lines and as you mentioned a fire extinguisher.

I will be at the show both days so make sure you stop for a chat.

Good points here Clive, and I've seen the nice bits on your website. Any chance you could do a complete braided kit for a +2S130 ?

send me an email:
