Ready and shining at the yearly spring sports car show here in Oslo, Norway, after a 0640 start,.... The only +2 at the show, which was lovely, this is the first time at the show with the Elan, after previous ratly Triumphs. Resplendent with Dino Cromadora mirrors, not to everyones taste, but I think they work well with the lithe design of the Elan.

Looks good Thor!

Just a thought, if it's a late S130/5, should it not have federal nuts on the wheels rather than the knock on ones?

Regards,

Hamish.

Of course it should have nuts, Hamish, and it did.... I just think the spinners look Sooooo much nicer than the nuts. And with the new spinner tool I even know they're on with the right torque. :)

Now with the car working so well it's hard to set aside a nice day to do more work as I just want to DRIVE!

Thor,

Is the spinner tool you refer to the one that's been debated at length on the vendors forum or is there something else out there?

Jon

p.s. Nice looking car :D

Yes it is... It works brilliantly. Care needs to be taken when using it with the +2S130 alloys, as it's a bit of a tight squeeze no to mark the spokes. But SO easy to use, getting the right torque, and not a mark on the spinners. I thoroughly recommend it, and wouldn't use a hammer again.
