Also when I bought them, Susan Miller said in the 4 years they'd been selling them, no-one had come back with any problems caused by the changeover. I think she said they'd sold about 400 but my memory could be a little off. But it seems there's not too much risk of problems. In all the posts on this topic on here, no-one who has done the switch has mentioned any driveline difficulties.
Have taken the car in the twisty country roads of the Peak District today, the
shafts didn't make such a big difference at higher speeds, but acceleration did seem a bit more immediate than before. Hillstarts though were so much nicer. And I can actually reverse into my driveway without the car bouncing back and forth when the rear wheels get to the kerb.

Absolutely.

When I was thinking of the conversion, the guys at CL Scotland said to forget about driveline problems - they were a myth!
So far so good. The difference with no surge is amazing and well worth the cost :) .

Blueseamonkey,

That +2 of yours looks mighty fine. I'm thinking of doing a scrape/paint job on mine to get rid of osmosis. What's the colours?

Hamish.

Thanks for the compliment Hamish! 8) Its all black from top to bottom (my wife calls it the Batmobile) Not the original colour, in fact not all that much of the car seems to be original, but I love it, and it was by far the best I saw in my price range.
Paint job seems pretty good, just a few small cracks around the door handles, no signs of crazing or osmosis.

At the moment, its even got black bumpers as the previous owner couldn't find (or couldn't afford) a new chrome rear bumper and fitted a plastic one instead, spraying the front to match. When I first saw the car, I was very keen to change back to chrome, but I have to admit the all black does look quite good, I think its grown on me.
Only thing is black is such a difficult colour to keep clean, something not helped by perpetual roadworks outside my house.
