Hi all, as a relativity new member to the elan +2 world (3years), although i also have a esprit turbo (stevens) and have owned a m100 elan.
I thought i should try posting some photos.
The car was purchased as a rolling new spyder chassis and a body with V5, but not much else !
and i have spent a few years collecting parts, including a engine, box etc
a major push started this year to get it on the road, which i hope to do by eary next spring
i am a lot further along with the project now but "file size to large ?" so photos of the chassis rebuild, engine fit, body refit and dash/interior fit to follow

more photos after reducing file size !
Still not at current state of rebuild, but most photos i have are of parts being dismantled so as to remeber how they refit together
For that reason i don't have many assemble stage photos, to busy with the next thing/problem to solve
i will sort through more reduce and post .

edit : just noticed date on camera is 1 whole year out ! all photos apart from the second one in original post were taken this year.

That front wheel looks a bit small in the first pic! Sorry.
Nice paint, is the roof silver metalflake?
Good luck with the rest of the rebuild
Cheers

Signs are the original roof was metalflake, but now a fine metallic silver.
I have still to repaint a replacement bonnet as a bulged one was required and the boot lid due to storage damage
style of wheel looks like it would work, and are big enough to fill the wheel arch, but far to wide
I wasn't aiming to line up the wheel that way, but a work mate said the same thing

Brett,
I have just reported you to Health & Safety regarding that 1st picture! I also did a doubletake on the very small front wheel and thought perhaps you had made a sort of rolling dolly to move the body around whilst it was parted from the chassis
Red & Silver is a nice combination on a +2, hope to see it driving around in the near future. We all like to see pictures of Elan's being brought back to life, thanks for taking the trouble to post these.
Regards

Looking at that first picture...............all you need is a shadetree, a bottle of Jack, bib coveralls and you could be an American hillbilly.
The boys are right, the color combo is nice.
