I think you'll all be pleasantly surprised when you see it once it's been cleared inside and then cleaned inside and out.
From photos alone I wouldn't have bought it so I did a round trip of 500 miles to see in the flesh. We spent almost 3 hours looking and assessing the condition.
I'm due to collect it on 16th September and once it's clean I'll post some more photos.

You're a brave man! At least you know up front that everything needs to be restored or rebuilt. No surprises here. Good luck! Will watch your progress with great interest.

Hi Ian, I see you're only in Orpington, I may have to call on you for a look at your car to see where bits should go and what it should look like!!
The first update is that I now have a fourth wheel and am off in search of a tyre at lunchtime, something cheap and nasty will do fine, maybe even a part worn, its only going to be used for pushing it on and off a trailer and then binned.

My aim is to start going to the NKLG monthly meets, work has got in the way of pretty much all of them since last October and I bet some fill have forgotten me by now!
But yes, you're welcome to look at my car, or i can send you photos of bits you're not sure about. I have a few upgraded bits (Susan Miller rear CVs, for example) but most of the car is pretty much as Colin intended.
I had a Michelin Classic tyre that I damaged taking it off the rim to repair a puncture in its innertube, wasn't safe to use on the road, but you could have had that until last week when I took it to my local tyre place to get rid. Expensive replacement to get a matching XAS-FF... stick to modern tyres, though these are very nice to drive on!
Look forward to seeing how yours cleans up without it's... err... deposits.
Ian.
