Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

Hello, our Elan Plus 2 is 50 years old this year on 31st October 2017. I'm looking forward to its birthday! Not sure what to do though. We missed going to Castle Coombe this year unfortunately and I know they were planning to get lots of Plus 2s together to celebrate the anniversary year. We did take the car to Goodwood Revival a couple of weeks ago which was nice, apart from the weather! We all got rather muddy.

If it was me - and i still have to wait nearly 5 years to do it for my Sprint - I would send a note to the factory & ask if they'd let you take the car into the grounds & take its photograph there.

Just a thought & the worst that can happen is they say no....

That's a great idea. It's a bit of a way from the bottom of Cornwall though. I just checked and it's just over 400 miles and 6.5 hrs! I'm thinking of going to the Autumn Classic at Castle Combe though.
