Good reason to change the suspension arms

So the left rear wheel came off my Plus 2 when the PO owned it. Here's some of the damage to the outer bush housing when it hit the ground and dragged along the road.
I've since replaced it with some new Spyder suspension arms.
I think I dodged a bullet as I reckon any stress on that arm and it would have failed.
Not to mention they were a bit bent, probably from putting a floor jack under them.

Normally its the bottom steel cap in the strut housing that hits the ground and drags when you loose a wheel ( Been there done that) With that much wear on the arm itself a lot must have come off the housing.

This is how much comparing each side. I don't know much about the hubs themselves but other than the worn part it seems okay.
I believe the wheel bearing nut came off.
So the bottom of the hub is a replaceable cap?

Yes its a pressed in steel cap. Mine had a bid hole in it when my rear hub shaft failed when racing and all the oil around the shock drained out. I just brazed a new end on the cap

Interesting, as it doesn't look separate. Seems alright at the moment but I'll keep an eye out for any oil weeping and or the plug falling out.
