I tend to think you should be fined for illegal export of priceless wildlife remains.

certainly isn't unique !! I had one there & another beside petrol tank .
Son had his 1978 midget in the barn this winter as well and I found a mouse nest in the sheepskin rug he keeps on the drivers seat.... v cosy!

i think we caught about 20 mice over this winter once we laid traps .

I've had good luck with quality cloths dryer fabric softener sheets stuffed every where a mouse can get and under all four wheels. That and plenty of mouse traps baited with peanut butter. Nearly impossible to get the smell out of a car. I HATE them meese's!!!

Not a classic, but I recently had my V70R LPG system wiped out by a nesting mouse - wiring loom coatings clearly add a touch of bling!

My car started then just conked out.......would start and run for just a few seconds......the nice man from the AA said my exhaust/silencer was blocked looking for a stuffed potato:?: Could not help sawing the old silencer in half to find it full of old newspapers and plastic from a nest. Next year the boiler in the outhouse packed up again mice had shredded the wiring......... :x Cost over £1000 to fix but finally found the utimate solution

Not Elan related but this is what the feckers did to my hot water pipe Under the floor of my UK pied à terre.

Image

That is multi-couche pipe with a metal inner layer, they got through it just enough to give themselves a hot spring/sauna

I thought that my hot water heater was failing, as it is a timber building, a bit like a log cabin if I had not found it when I did it could have destroyed the whole building in my absence.

I brought some resident mice to France in my Lotus, they in turn procreated, possibly with French mice and went on to ravage all the priceless historic Panhard race cars where I first stored the Elan, seemingly they preferred the taste
