Spa Francorchamps 6 hours

PostPost by: Jas » Fri Oct 16, 2009 8:23 pm

Hi
Went to the Spa 6 hours, it's a great event witch I can only recommend it, less than ? 20,- for a three day ticket with access to the pit and grandstands, and the Lefe is cheap also.
Took a bunch of pictures, here are some of the Elan's.

Hi Jannik,

I am sure i speak for everyone, great pictures, thanks.

Is this event held every year, and what was the date of the event this year? I would love to get along to it at some point. Did you go in your Elan, and if so, hows the diff holding up?

Regards,

Leslie

Hi Leslie

Thanks. The event was held 25, 26, 27 September and it runs every year around that date.
The diff. runs fine thank you, but we went in modern cars, too many autobahn miles.

Jannik,

Some superb shots in there, love the Lola T70 and my favourite Chevrons photo.

I did not realise how much until now how much more mmmmm rounded and altogether better looking the rear arches are on the earlier cars. Dark Blue no.110 photo just does it.

Many thanks,

Doug.

P.S. by the way yes it is Bob Dance.

Nice to see the #17 Shapecraft on track, there must be very few that are still used in competition.

So many wonderful cars, oh my. :D

Hi all,

I was there as well with some pals. We helped the guys with the blue elan put their engine back in on Saturday night - sadly missed them racing on Sunday as Ecurie Dormouse drank too much beer and slept in!

Photos may be attached if I can manage it!
