many people say that it isn't worth rebuilding a Girling servo but I am rebuilding my + 2 as close as the original. I have already rebuilt all my brakes calipers with new pistons and all the brake lines are in place.
Thank you for the information for making a specific tool to dismantle the servo. I was thinking of a kind of tool we use to take off the oil filter.

This tool was to do with the internals, not taking the body apart, mine was the very early one with the ring of bolts around the end of the body that you undo to split the casing. Unfortunately when the car went off to be professionally rebuilt the company went bust and my car came back without a servo so I've had to retro fit a Lockheed one.

Probably the bent welding wire as per the instructions.

Mines 50/0142 first registered November 1967 and bought by me in 1977. By then it had been fitted with a big valve engine, it's done around 50,000 miles now and been off the road since 1985.
