Action: When a car is in your workshops for suspected water leaks, take heed of the Customers' complaints, but do NOT simply replace weatherseals, etc., without first ascertaining where the leak is.

Full details for curing all known places where water leaks are likely to occur, are contained in the respective Workshop Manuals (Section V - Body).

Local sealing of direct glazed windscreens (i.e. without removing the screen), should be carried out using '3Ms' sealer inserted with the aid of a suitable applicator. This sealer will not harm the butyl rubber which retains the screen.
