Sun visors

I have three sun visors, unfortunately none are attached to the car! I have been told that they are both 'handed' and not 'handed', which is not helpful.
I have attached (I hope) pictures, and I think I have two of one side, and one of the other, but am not sure which is which.
I believe they screw into wooden blocks that are fitted in the roof, but before I risk damaging the roof lining would like as much advice as possible, which way round the brackets go, what screws to use etc.
Thanks in advance.

That was driver side, left in the US and this one is passenger, right in US. In this picture I swung it over the passenger side door so you can see how the bracket would go. Gordon Sauer

Thanks Gordon,
What size screws have been used? presumably quite short!

Good pics and screw size 'decode' here. I think the thread is kind of a blend of Elan and Plus 2, mirror and visor, but it appears to be similar attachments in both models.

And here's a picture of them fitted the right way around (IMHO! !)
The screws are 1/2" No.8, chrome, countersunk, raised head, posidrive.
Dougal.

Well that's good to know, I'll mount them correctly but then they were never black! Gordon Sauer

Mine neither. I've put covers on them as they were so discoloured against the new headlining.
